Growing up my mom would not allow us to buy bagged popcorn, she would always buy the seeds and make it fresh. Most families had the same situation but in today's day and age...the only popcorn you can find at your local store is the prepackaged, made weeks ago and flavored with artificial flavors kind. I spent months trying to perfect a recipe that was more robust then regular popcorn but no so robust you burn your mouth. I visited a Indian family in NJ and they made this for me recently, they happily gave me the recipe and after a few minor tweaks Bolo Popcorn was born. Bolo means "Speak" in Hindi.
