(More customer reviews)Received this abomination as a Christmas gift, making it probably the worst gift I've ever gotten. Firstly, it takes up a lot of space, if you have a media/tv room that's fine, but finding someplace to put it in your average home will be problematic.
As for functionality, it may pop decent popcorn, but set up is a pain, while clean up is a nightmare. Nearly 1/4 of the kernels wind up being kicked out of the hopper along with the popped corn. The front door is the only access, meaning that you can only wipe down the interior, and I've had to hold the unit over a trash bin to shake out the remaining loose bits.
The electric kettle must be shut off as soon as the last kernal pop sound is heard, otherwise any small loose bits inside will be scorched and are nearly impossible to cean out, as the kettle does not come apart and can only be wiped out.
A bag of microwavable popcorn will cook in a fraction of the time it takes to set and clean up this waste of space, and you only have to throw out the empty bag afterwards!
